The Pacific Northwest is a great place to stay active all year. And when the temperatures fall and the rain does, too, we Northwesterners are known to put on a few extra layers and get moving outside. Our Winter Trail Series is a perfect way to stay motivated and having fun out in our beautiful parks through the shorter and damper days. While each park offers a unique experience, all events offers a shorter distance (4k to 5 miles) and a longer one (10k to half marathon), and all events are conveniently within the Seattle and Eastside areas.
The series lineup:
SUN, NOVEMBER 10
SAT, NOVEMBER 23
SAT, DECEMBER 7
SAT, DECEMBER 21
SUN, JANUARY 5
SAT, JANUARY 25
SAT, FEBRUARY 8
And here's how it works:
There are seven series events, and the series is best-4-out-of-7. What this means is that you can compete in four or more runs, and your top four placements will be used for your result in the series standings.
If you want to do fewer events, that's okay! Series events are open to everyone. If you complete any of these events, you are automatically entered.
Points will be awarded based on finish placement, and this will be done separately for both women's and men's finishers. The 1st place woman and 1st place man in each event score 100 points, 2nd place scores 95, 3rd scores 92, 4th scores 90, 5th 89...64th and lower placings score 30 points.
There will be some recognition for top series participants.
Registration is offered separately for each race, and all participants who run any of the events are automatically entered.
