St. Edward State Park is a gem of the Washington State Park system, due to the natural beauty of its natural forest areas and undeveloped waterfront along Lake Washington, its proximity to the Eastside and Seattle population centers, and its well-maintained amenities, including historic buildings, convenient parking, pleasant picnic areas, a phenomenal children's play structure, and many miles of wonderful trails for hiking, biking and running.
The Summer Evening Trail Series takes place on 6 Tuesday evenings in some of the most verdant running destinations that are conveniently located within the Seattle and Eastside areas. Distances are short, ranging from 4k to 10 miles.

Aid/Refreshments for the 8-milers are located near the start/finish.
The refreshments will include at least water and some sort of carbohydrate-rich food, such as pieces of Clif Bar, bagel, fruity candy, and/or bananas. There will likely be a few choices of these foods, along with electrolyte-replacement drink.
The trails will be open to other users during the event, including pedestrians with pets, and mountain bikers. While mountain bikers should yield to pedestrians, keep your head up and ears alert so that you are not surprised by a mountain biker.
Participants are responsible for their own safety while participating, and the organizers are neither qualified nor equipped to render medical care in the event of a serious injury. In case of an emergency, call 9-1-1. You are encouraged to bring a cell phone with you as a safety precaution, if you wish.
Where the trails are narrow, please let other participants pass you if they want to get by. It is a passing runner's job to tell the person in front that they wish to pass.
